Hi, Y'all--I have fished Kentucky and Barkley Lakes for more than 50 years. I specialize in trolling jigs and crankbaits for crappie and whatever else will bite. I have chased bluegills/redears, bass, catfish, stripes and stripers, you name it. If it will hit a bait, we will catch it. Kentucky and Barkley have always been known as the cream of the crop when it comes to crappie. The big secret is the world-class bluegill and redear fishery that we are so proud of. I welcome you to share my new Excel Bay Pro 230 Elite. It is equipped with the latest in Humminbird electronics, Garmin Livescope, and Suzuki 250SS 4-stroke outboard. If you have been wanting to learn to troll or catch big panfish, you've come to the right place!

"Wanted to say thank you for an awesome trip. It is one that my boys will not soon forget. That is the biggest crappie that I have ever caught. Super impressed with your knowledge and hospitality towards our group. Thank you again and hope to see you next year."

“Enjoyed my first trip with Captain Doug. The weather turned ugly April 1, (47 degrees), but we were still able to catch some good crappie! Doug is a "people person" and enjoys sharing his stories, as well as listening to yours! He is very accommodating to his clients and makes sure they have a good time on the water. His boat and equipment are unique to his style of fishing and I guarantee you will have a good time."

"Capt Doug is great. Exceptionally kind. Very professional and absolutely a highly skilled fisherman. Took the time to answer our questions and to teach us new skills. We were so impressed with how many fish we caught - we are going to be having several good meals with some nice crappie. Highly recommend his services to all levels of fishermen, women and children. Thank you Capt Doug."
